I've got a summer job (I'm a university student) in this non-profit organization where I will design a database for their resources (like in the library), and then make it available in their homepage where the user can search the books/journals/videos by category, author, and title.
I've done designing the database, and is currently entering/typing datas in.
My problem now is to make "search pages" and make it available in the net. I've tried making it in the data page access, but it wouldn't work.
So I'm thinking of frontpage...well, I've tried using the database wizard--I've connected the database in frontpage, and then inserted this search in the page. I've uploaded it in my account in Fortunecity (just to experiment and see), tried to view it---but it didn't work.
I have no idea how to make these search pages, and then make it available on the net...Do have to upload the whole database access?
Please help me! I'm lost :)

You need to publish your pages to an NT server with IIS installed on it. (Internet Information Serv)

Most free services like Fortune City run on Unix based web servers and those won't work with Frontpage even with the Frontpage extensions installed.

When you are creating your data access page, you can use the wizards provided in FP. But first you must have the ODBC connections set up on your machine and on the web server. [sig][/sig]
