Hi,
My name is Randi. I am working with FP 2003 to create my website. The problem that I am having:
When I create the pages of the site I am working on a 19" monitor and my resolution is 1280 by 1024. I create a page, preview it and everything looks great. It fits perfect on the screen left to right. When I publish the pages and have others look at it they have to scroll to the right to see the whole page. A friend told me to change the border width from pixels to 100% and length to 0. That worked great on my computer. When I looked at it at 1280 by 1024 it fit and when I changed the resolution to 1024 by 768 it adjusted and it all fit again. But, when other looked at it, it still didn't fit (look at the site yourselves and tell me what you see). How do I make it so my pages will remain as I create them and do not alter at all no matter what computer, resolution, browser is used to look at it? Years ago I remember someone telling me that there was a code you put on each page so that this doesn't happen. Is there such a code, and if so, how and where do you put it on the page?

Thanks to all for your help.

Randi,

At the top of the page is a graphic that is 1053 pixels wide. At the bottom is a graphic that is 1054 pixels wide.

They are too wide for some to display without a horizontal scrollbar.

As Lillibeth points out, your image is too wide
Keep them no larger than around 760pixels wide to prevent a horizontal scroll in 800x600 resolution.

Also, watch that any tables and divs are this small or smaller. For that matter, 100% width works best for tables.

Hope I have been of some help,
Micheal Smith
