Hi

I just switched to Indesign CS4 and I'm having a pink box show up around some of my type.

Write now I'm trying to type in a head line for the dust jacket for a new book I'm putting together and no matter what I do it persists in showing the pink bg box around the type.

I can't find anything that says what this indicates or how to shut is off.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Mike

Ps. I just realized that it depends on what font I have selected, but I don't know why.

.

...the pink box indicates missing font/substituted font for typed characters...

...the highlight is controlled in the preferences > composition > substituted fonts (a checkbox)...

...it is advised you leave it on for easier identification...

Hi

There must be some glitch with some of my fonts.

They show up and are installed, they print out but they still show the pink box in Indesign.

I'll avoid then anyway just to be on the safe side.
