Hello Everybody!

I have created a Citrix DMZ in between the external and internal fw. It includes Citrix nFuse and Citrix Secure Gateway. Behind the internal fw, we have the citrix farm. I don’t know exactly how to organize things within the citrix farm. We will be using Citrix for a specific application running a dedicated server.

1. Can we install Citrix Presentation Server on the same server as the application or has it to be installed on a separate server?

2. We are using redundant servers for the important part of our infrastructure. We have two different sites, we were planning to use two citrix presentation servers in the two sites. What do you think about using 1 presentation server in each site? we have a double xxMbits between the two sites that we can take advantage of it.

3. A last question, in Citrix there are different “partitions” such as admin user, office users. What would you think of having the production / test partitions as we have the admin / office partitions?

Thanks,

R.

Basic minimum suggestion:
1 Window domain server (two for redundant)
1 CSG with SSL (will need second CSG for second site)
1 Citrix server(you can't install this on window domain, normally we should not let users run programs on it as it is Citrix's main server)

You can install important program on any server. Nearest to users who will use this program.
You can create what ever group you want using window's AD as citrix will use this AD policy.
We use, production, backup and test partition.

PS: look in Citrix admin guide to see what fit you more
