Can anyone lend some guidance for an individual who is new to the CISCO VOIP world from a programming perspective. I have installed the physical voice gateway equipment and the call managers along with the VOIP phone sets but have "no experience" in programming. Any suggestions on how to get up to speed rather quickly? Any texts, websites that would be useful / helpful? Also would you suggest getting some Cisco equipment if available to connect and practice programming?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Lou

Pick up Cisco Press Configuring CallManager and Unity: A Step by Step Guide. It's a little outdated but still a good easy to understand reference. Also you can download from cisco.com the Administrator's Guide for your version of UCM. It tells the How's but not so much the Why's of programming. The book will tell you the Why's.
