Have apprx. 4 yrs. of on-the-job technical experience but now find myself unemployed for the past 5 mths. Worked my way during 10 yr. tenure to an IT Mgr. position. However now I lack a degree or certification. Have been taking on line course for A+ through Thomson NetgLearning and downloading practice test to supplement. Is this an effective way to study for the two exams? What can I expect when taking the exams? Are the exams timed? Any best practices advice for taking the exams?

Thank you.

Hi,

Thats a self study course your doing there. Took me about 12 months to do my A+/Net+ course - you should do an accelerated course - do a seven day course with onsite exams.

Speak to Steve - I wasted my money with NetG but got the cert from training camp
