I have a BCM450 R1 that I am having to recreate an ICC on since there is no migration from the BCM400. I can't figure out how to add the skillset. I keep getting an error that the CDN value I am using is an invalid DN.

Where do you build the CDN in a BCM? Do you use one of the application DNs? I am not having a lot of luck with the NTP so any help would be appreciated. If someone could give me a down and dirty ICC setup process that would be great.

I figured it out. You have to either take an inactive DN that you will never use and convert it to an applicatin DN. The BCM450 has a lot of inactive application DNs so that makes it easier.

OK, got a new problem. I can't get the call to ring on the agent phone. I built my CDN using one of the inactive application DNs. I built the skillset, added the agents, built a basic routing table, and initialized the skillset mailbox.

I can log the agent in, but when I call the CDN I just get open ringing. The greeting I built and assigned as step 1 doesn't play nor does the agent phone ring.

I noticed that my CDN stayed in the inactive application DN screen even after enabling the skillset. What am I missing?

You can't get into the queue by calling the CDN internally from another DN. It will just continue to ring as you describe. You have to come in via the outside where the line you are calling in on is assigned to be answered by the skillset number so if you have digital trunking you have to set up target lines and if you have analog lines, just assign them to be answered by the appropriate skillset number. If you want CLID on the analogs, just make sure you have them ring at least twice.

Good Luck.
