New to ASP and Personal Web Server

Hi, I am new to using ASP Following directions in the Dummies book (Sad when I can't even get this to work!!)
I have PWS installed + running, a default home page, and link to the ASP page. The link works, but the ASP instructions do not execute. I am running IE5 on Windows 98. Sounds like a configuration problem to me, but I've no idea where to look next. Any ideas?

If not try to reinstal or try to start(maybe it is stopped)
and then try to put your asp page in your
