I am trying to build a Work Order database for my company
I did a crash course basically on how to use access, no actually training
Basically a database for operators on the machines to put in work orders for maintenance instead of chasing everyone around the plant, and be able to keep up with everything in the computer and inventory and costs of each repair as well
I heard I could use VBA in order to set up notifications of new records that are entered
So if an operator fills out the form for a work order it will pop up on certain people's computers instead of us having to check it every second of the day
Is this true?
And if so HOW?!
Thank you guys for your input!

I would suggest you start by purchasing an Access programming book, sit down and do the code examples presented in the book, and then see if you can apply them to your own problems at hand. There are also junior college courses as well.

GBMiller4159, welcome to Tek-Tips.

A couple additional tips:
[ul]
[li]Post your questions in the appropriate forum. There is forum705 which might be better.[/li]
[li]Try to come here with specific questions rather than very broad. Show that you have done some research and would like a much narrower question answered.[/li]
[li]Use TGML to format you questions. I'm not sure how your question ended up centered but it isn't easy to read.[/li]
