Hi,

I just installed apache 2, and just had a quick question.

I have tried to search google as best as possible, but I'm not sure if I'm getting the right thing, and haven't found a very helpful tutorial.

I've used apache 1.3.x before, but just to host a simple html website. Now that I have a much higher upload speed, and a much better server, I thought I'd start experimenting with databases, PHP, and what not.

I also would like to host small videos for a car forum. However, I don't want just anybody sucking up my bandwidth. I'm not that new to editing the conf files, just have never really had to go into much detail editing. It simply worked from the get go :)

If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
Jonathan A.

Same as 1.x - use .htaccess files, or add the permissions to httpd.conf.

Google for .htaccess and you should find quite a bit.
