Hi everyone,
We have ordered a new PABX (CS100M) with OTM,Call Pilot Mini and SCCS 5.0.We will buy a new server for this applications. Is it possible installing all of this applicatin to one server? And what is your advices for the configuration? On the SCCS documantation at least 2.8 GHz Intel Xeon Processor,2 GB Ram,120 GB Harddisk are suggested. But only for SCCS 5.0.I don't know it is enough for the other applications. Thanks for your help.

you will need to supply seprate servers for symposium and otm they cannot co reside with each other, callpilot mini comes on its own hardware.

Symposium needs to run on a server class box with drives setup in RAID-1 config. I would recommend something with dual processors and at least 1Gig of RAM. Don't go crazy with drives - a Symposium database cannot be larger than 64GB. You'd probably be OK with two 18GB drives mirrored together for the operating system and Symposium install, and two 72GB drives mirrored together for the Symposium database. That 72GB will be carved up into 4 16GB partitions, so you'll end up losing some drive space. It seems crazy but your drive array would look like this:

Two 18G physicial drives mirrored together:
C:\ partion of 9GB for Window operating system
D:\ partion of 9GB for Symposium application

Two 72GB physical drives mirrored together:
F:\ 16GB database partition
G:\ 16GB database partition
H:\ 16GB database partition
I:\ 16GB database partition

E:\ is reserved for the CD-ROM (it must be this drive letter!) Also note that Symposium must reside by itself, and as recommended by Nortel, not joined to any domain.

As far as OTM goes, it could theoretically be installed on a PC, however, I wouldn't recomend that. You'd do fine with a single processor server with two 18GB drives mirrored together. You can put other apps on this server, but don't get too crazy.

Actually, NORTEL doesn't mind the Domain, as long as you don't join it until after the installation.
