new sun java exam questions 1

i am preparing for the sun exam for the last 3 months. recently my friends have appeared for the exams and failed. They found "open ended " questions without multiple questions of almost 20 questions, where in they have to fill in the results of the code fiven in the questions. some questions about 10 to 12 questions wherein part of the code in a program was not given and they were provided as a,b,c,d mutiple choices.
This is the new sun java exam and nowhere in the mock exams we can find such questions hence now ( after october,00 ) the questions i mean the exam has become much tougher. I would like to know whether anyone has taken the exams in the last 2 months and faced the same fate. i would like share the knowledge so that I prepare better before I write the exam.

This is news to me. It has been almost a year since I passed it. I remember only a couple fill in when I took it and the rest was multiple choice. There was still a lot of code to look at, even in multiple choice form.

I can tell you that I hacked a lot of Java programs along with reading multiple text books. They also have started adding questions on Collections too since more of these Sun Classes have been added in Java 2.

There is a link to addition Text Books. One book that I thought was good and was written by one of the exam developers at Sun MicroSystems was "The Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide by Phillip Heller (Sybex)".
