We installed a new range of DID numbers to an existing location, and built mailboxes for each on our already working Mod Msg. However, even though missed calls to these new DIDs cover to MM just fine, the caller hears "please enter the extension of the person you are trying to reach" or similar. In other words, the mailbox is not recognized by the MM system and it prompts the caller to enter the extension for routing. Once they do this, the call does end up in the mailbox.

Is there a setting that we are missing? What would block an entire range of DIDs from being part of this happy MM family of subscribers?

Look at the MM Trunk group and see if you are using Private or Public Routing. Change PUBLIC xxxx and add the new DID range or if using PRIVATE do a change PRIVATE xxxx.

Thanks, voippbx! You nailed it. Much appreciated!
