I want to install BrightStor v9 from scratch. Going to use Windows 2000 server and BrightStor is the only thing that is going to be on this server. It will backup Novell 4.11 and other NT/2000 servers through client agents.

What is the best setting for Windows 2000? Which service can I disable...etc.

Thanks

ARCserve v9 will work out fine on a clean W2K server. Before installing you have to check :
- which user will be the backup user, be sure you have given this account all the required rights.
- which volume will ARCserve be installed on ( the standard database can grow up to 36GB ) be sure you have enough space available.
- is the hardware certified according to the Certified Device Lists

check the documents on support.ca.com for this

Up to now I'm amazed how smoothly v9 runs

regards
