New server having video problems

My Dell PowerEdge 2900 running Windows Storage Server 2003 is flaking out on me. I have been doing a large file back up for a couple of weeks. Today when I came in the monitor is dark. It comes on for a second if I power cycle it, but it goes right back to dark. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds like the monitor is going if you power cycle it and it displays for a second. Did you try a different monitor?

Sounds like a monitor issue. You may need to replace the monitor.

Also Poweredges have dual outputs for video, try the front panel output...
