New Sendmail user

i'm posting a stupid question: how do i manage users on Sendmail? I mean how do i add email user addresses to the system?

to add user you use adduser name.

so you mean that sendmail users are system users and you cannot have different users just for email purposes

You can create "mail only" user accounts by giving then /dev/null as their home directory and /sbin/nologin for their shell. This will give them a user name and password but no access to the system.
