Greetings all, first time poster here.

I recently upgraded from sendmail 8.8.x to the latest version. I have a few questions. In my log files, I am getting this:

Apr 4 23:34:11 gate sendmail[134]: g355YAv3000134: ruleset=check_rcpt, arg1=<westwebone@yahoo.com>, relay=wr32.westweb1.net [65.211.255.46] (may be forged), reject=550 5.7.1 <westwebone@yahoo.com>... Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged [65.211.255.46]
Apr 4 23:34:11 gate sendmail[134]: g355YAv3000134: from=<admin@westweb1.net>, size=0, class=0, nrcpts=0, proto=SMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=wr32.westweb1.net [65.211.255.46] (may be forged).

Basically, I tried to send mail (via dialup) from my local network to yahoo. As you can see, it got rejected. When I get on the LAN and do the same thing, it goes right thru with no problems.

The only way I got this to work for my dial-up customers is by putting every IP used by my local dial-ups into the Sendmail relay-domains file. Is this the correct way to handle this? I have not changed a single thing from the dafault sendmail.cf file.

I really want this to be setup correctly. I do not want to have an open relay on my mail server (BTDT).

Any help greatly appreciated,

Al
