Forgive my lack of knowledge, I've inherited the repsonsiblilty of a Domino server without much knowledge. I need to know how to create a system-wide policy or "RULE" to filter out or trash emails with a specific subject.
I already know how to do this with Notes client but there are too many users to go to each individual client and create a new rule.

If your using ver 6

Goto server configuration settings > router/smtp tab > restriction/controls tab > Rules tab.

I'm looking at the "workspace" right now but do not see "server configuration settings"
from the looks of this I would say I'm on version 5.
Unfortunatly Domino is not my cup of tea so I guess a need training wheels until we replace the guy who used to take care of this kinda thing.

ok i made it this far.... configuration settings > router/smtp tab > restriction/controls tab > but there is no "rules" tab in here

I don't think v5 supported it. But I'm not 100%. Then again if theres no rules tab there i guess it doesn't. I'm running 6.5 and between the rules and blacklist filters I've cut down on a ton of spam. Sorry I couldn't help out more but maybe someone else may have some ideas on what you ould do.

Mikes correct. Server rules was a new feature introduced with V6. The only options you have (happy to be corrected) are to run a third party such as mcafee, use an external service -or- The other alternative would be to run a smarthost between your server and the Internet that can run antispam for you.
