is there a quick way to move to a new row in Excel?

Do you know of a slow one?

More information, please, on what you're trying to achieve.

Cheers

yes, using the scroll bar to move through the records until i reach a new blank row. i was wondering if there was a keyboard shortcut such as moving to the last row e.g. contol + down arrow

To go to the last used cell on a worksheet, you can press Ctrl-End. You can then press the Home key to go to column A on that row, and the down-arrow key to go down to the next row.

Other navigation shortcuts include Ctrl-Home to take you to the top-most cell in the active pane, Ctrl-PgUp to go to the preceding worksheet and Ctrl-PgDn to go to the succeding worksheet.

BTW: given your reference to Ctrl-down-arrow, I take it you already know that shortcut takes you to the last-used row in the current column.

I didn't know about the CTRL-PgDn and CTRL-PgUp.
I found that very useful.
