Hi,
we had a problem with our old router which was powered off when i came in this morning (BT intelligent Gateway 1800). i was unable to power it back on so decided to replace it with Draytek vigor 2800 series. The old router used 172. ip address so i changed the new routers IP address to reflect the old one. Everything has set up fine on replacement but there is a problem with security as any user can access any folder on the network. Somehow this change has affected security settings. I have rebooted the domain controller and checked security options on folders, it is showing that no change has taken place with each user having the permissions set to the way we have it normally.
we are using windows 2003 server with seperate domain controller. both have manual ip address in tcp/ip settings which are not part of the DHCP address pool. The rest of the machines are DHCP.
any help will be greatly appreciated as this is a security issue and i need to sort this ASAP!
