Hello all,
I have a Solaris 9 master server and I am trying to get a new robot hooked up in Netbackup env.

Does anyone know what files (st.conf, etc) I need to edit so the OS sees the new robot? Here is some info:

master server: sun e450, running solaris 9
robot: quantum px720
tapes drives: 10 LTO gen 3 (I believe IBM branded)
fiber connected through a mcData switch.

I present the robot via the swtich and the OS still doesn't see it...

Thanks in Advance.

None. The sg driver will handle the robot. Have you ran sgscan?

The st.conf file is for the tape drives in which you should enter the LTO3 drives in there.

Have you configured your HBA properly? Is your fabric zone set up properly and added to the active zoneset?

I have ran sgscan, and it doesn't come back with the new robot. I think my issue is with my HBA. The thing is that I already have another, older quantum robot connected to my master server. I will try again Monday to emsure that the zoners are set up properly.

Do you think that another driver is needed on the HBA for this new robot?

Does the OS see the robot? How about when you run scsi-probe-all?
