My goal is to issue a new report (report header, page header etc..) for each group.

Data is as follow:
[audit_no] Selected by the user in a drop down
[asset_no] Several assets for each audit
[3rd_party] Each asset may or may not have a 3rd party

The reports are to be sent individually sent to each 3rd party, thus 3rd party is the 'group'

How can I force a new report for each time there is a 3rd party?

Thanks for the ideas!!!

Use the Sorting and Grouping -- icon looks like (=

Create the group by entering the field you want to group by in the field/expression. Then below you'll see a section for Group Header/Footer Group on etc. Then in Keep together choose Whole Group.

Once the Header or Footer is set up, you can choose the properties for it and there is an option there under the Format Tab for Force New Page and you can specify to page break after group.

Alternatively, you may need to set up some vba code to loop through the list for each group if you need the report sent out to individually different people.

I have not forgotten, Thanks for your reply.

I will post the results of your suggestion as soon as I can..

I think I will need code to loop throuhg each group to produce a report for each.

I have tried everything I could with the grouping / page options to no avail.

Can you please point me to the right direction for code?

thanks

I figured it out.

By putting the report header in the group header, and keeping the groups on one page, then each group has it's own full report.

THANKS for the idea of grouping and playing with the properties!!
