I have a new R6/5 Slot/308.

When I power up the system the 308 module power light comes on for about 5 seconds and then does nothing. I can plug phones into the processor module and they seem fine but nothing on the 308. I've tried different slots for the 308 and get the same results.

I've already returned the 308 and replacement 308 gives me the same problems.

Anyone else have similar issues?

bad carrier or not seated right, or just a bad series of 308 cards but unlikely.
Do what 1043 suggested to make sure you have an R6 and not an R1 that doesn't support 308 cards

Make sure that the ACS processor is not the SOE (Small Office Edition) model. It will not support expansion modules.

I've replaced the carrier with a third 308 and still get the same results.

The preocess version is R6.0.C.

I guess your processor is not working that seems to be the only thing that is left.

I have the process module in the center slot and the 308EC in the slot to the left of it.

I've tried the 308 in other slots with the same results.

Processor in the middle next is the far left slot = slot 1 if that is empty nothing else will work.

rr95 made a good point. If the processor is an SOE (Small Office Edition) you will not be able to add any expansion modules. I'm wondering if the processor is an SOE [ponder]

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

no problem, but it took your statement that you have the 308 beside the processor, I guess for the future you know where to place the first expansion ;-)

OR, if one READs the documentation first, one would know the proper placement of PARTNER modules!

What is with the SOE? Could not find any documentation covering it.
