New Protocol Definition 1

I need to create a New Protocol Definition is for HTTPS on port 76 (as well as the standard 443).

I've got a book that says Right Click on Protocol Definitions and click New. I do this but I don't get the option to create a New one.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

ensure you have expanded the Policy Elements key and have clicked on Protocol Definitions. Then right mouse click on Protocol Definitions then go New ---> Definition...

That's what my book and the on0line help say ... but my problem is that when I right click on Protocol Definitions I don't get a New option I only get View, Refresh, Export, Help.

I have the same problem. When I try to right-click on Protocol Definitions, I do not get the New choice. Also, if I go into the Taskpad for Protocol Definitions, I only am given the choice of "Configure a Protocol Definition".

Check you have installed ISA in either Firewall or Integrated mode, if you have installed it as a proxy caching server only this option is not availabale to you.

For the original post, you may want to check thread 203599. I think you will need to use VBS to open up the second port. Dan
