New Projected Date

I wanted to track Projected Completion dates. I am using Deadline as the first Projected Completion date to keep the tasks on time. However, as the deadlines are missed I need to insert a new projected finish date, while maintaining the original deadline date. This is really to show upper management that their original deadlines were extreemly agressive. As the new projected deadlines are missed then I need to show that a new projected date has been agreed upon by the resources. Basically it becomes a list of deadlines until the tasks are actually completed. I also need Project to highlight when a task does not meet it's agreed upon deadline.

I did read Project 2000 for dummires, yet it did not discuss how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.
