New Project (.mpx) file opens 2 up windows?

Hi,

I am not sure if this is a right question in this forum. But some one might have a solution.

We have a web page from which a user can download an MS Project file with a extentsion (.mpx) and can open the file in MS Project. The issue is if the MS Project is not open and then the user opens the file form the browser it opens the file in 2 windows (EX: myProj and myProj-1), but if the MS project is already open then it opens up in the same window.

I am not sure if this is some thing to do with the setting in the MS Project.

Suggestions will be very helpful

I don't have an answer ... but, even if I did, it's not clear what you want. For example, you wrote "if the MS project is already open then it opens up in the same window". Is this good (using an existing window) or is this bad (you want the existing window to remain open and the new project to open in a second window)?
