I need to create a new profile on a Windows 2000 computer.

Using the Windows 2000 help I followed the instructions to the letter and created a new profile. However Windows 2000 does not display the new profile in the System/User Profiles area. In fact, it does not recognize that the new profile exists at all. It is therefore unusable.

How can I create a new profile in Windows 2000, have Windows 2000 actually see the profile after it is created, and use it?

Thanks

Can you explain a bit more please?

When you say create new profile - do you mean for an existing user or do you mean create a new user AND profile?

And what exactly have you done so far?

(you do know if you create a new user and then log on, windows will automatically create new profile for that user?)

Is this a standalone/workgroup machine (rather than domain)?
