I am a new user to Procomm. I need to run a dos version on a headless pc104 system, I can run Procomm from the autoexec.bat file, can I then run a script to capture a text file automatically with a date file name e.g. 22-03-05.txt which changes every day. Any help would be appreciated. I am trying Procomm Plus test drive 1988 until I know weather it will work or not

That test drive version is old even by DOS standards and I'm not certain what version of Procomm it was built off of. You would probably best be served by getting a cheap copy of 2.01 from eBay or somewhere similar for $10 or so.

A quick flip through the 2.01 ASPECT manual I have shows that you can set the log file and get the date easily, but it might not be very easy to detect when the day changes (I think your script would just need to continually check the value of the current day against the value you used to name the logfile).
