We have recently replaced our laser printer that was used for payroll check printing. Was Brother HL-10V not it's a Brother 5170DNLT. When we print the checks the fonts are "super" large. What we discovered (through lots of trial and error) is if we DON'T print the PRE CHECK REGISTER it works fine. We have contacted our Mas90 support team and they are perplexed. They suggested using a HP 4 pcl driver, but that didn't work either.

Anyone have any quesses as to what's going on?

I dont know the flow here, but if you are doing a pre check register and then there is a choice to print checks immediately after that report is printed, try answering it no instead of yes. That should take you back to a "reports" menu. Then select check printing from the menu. Maybe that will allow the programs to reset the printer somehow.

I'm thinking I used to have to do that in accounts payable.

It's 10 O'Clock ( somewhere! ).
Are your registry and data backed up?

Thank you so much for the reply. I found the answer to my problem by searching the web.

What I found is what you suggested and that fixed the problem. I guess this is a "known" problem, but the company we use to support Mas90 wasn't aware of the issue.

Thanks again...and have a star!
