New PRI Slips Every 16 Seconds

I turned up a new PRI in a dual PRI card on a IP500v2 8.1(63). We will port numbers to the new PRI next week and make it active. The new PRI has clocking set to Unsuitable, and the existing PRI is set to Network. Both PRIs are NI2.

During test and turn up today, Monitor shows a "reset slip store falc" every 16 seconds. The telco and the underlying carrier state that they see no errors, but I never heard either say zero slips.

Is this error because we are clocking elsewhere or do I keep working on this issue?

New PRI should be network and 2ns should be admin down if not using

Actually, I accidentally had it on network this morning (so both PRIs were set to network). No audio on test calls on the new PRI until I changed clocking.

New PRI is unplugged now.

Did you get slip errors on just the new one or both?
You'll see in System Status which one got the errors.

If you have slips errors on the new trunk that's something that needs to be fixed before going live.
