I already had three pools of incomming and trunk lines 70, 890 and 895 which are working fine. I added a new pool 894, but incomming calls on the lines assigned to pool 894 ring on the Operator's Desk instead of being picked up the Automated Attendant. Am I missing anything?

Yes you need to assign that pool of lines to either the voicemail calling group (usually 770 - if that's where your other pools are attached) or in an overflow group - if you are using a delay before calls flow to the autoattendant. If the autoattendant answers the other pools immediately - than the pools are assigned to the voicemail calling group - probably 770.

You can easily check - by pressing: menu, syatem program, start/exut, extentions, more, group calling, line/pool, 770 enter - the press inspect to see if the other pools are there. If so - press back - press line/pool again, 770 enter, 894 enter - and do another inspect. If all there press home

Thanks Tom. It worked to a certain extent. We do not have delay, and Auto Attendent picks up the calls. The other Lines/Pools were assiged to 770, and I added Group 894 in there too. Now the calls are no longer going to Operator but are picked up the Auto Attendent. There is one issue though. I have three lines assigned to Pool 894

809 --- Connected to PSTN 2001
811 --- Connected to PSTN 2002
814 --- Connected to PSTN 2003

Calls comming to 2003 are going to our regular Auto Attendent # 1, however calls comming through 2001, 2002 are going to a different AA, which has a Generic Message "Welcom to Merlin Mail, please enter the extension number of the persion you wish to reach or hold for assistance". Do you know why would it do that?

You may have some of the lines (for whatever reason) programmed in the voicemail as belonging to AA2 - you would have to check that in voicemail administratrion, Dial into the Admin mailbox, press 9 for progranmming, choose the options for autoattendants, press 2 for autoattendant 2 - wait for the line assignment option - and see if any of your lines are assigned to AA2. If so - delete them - and they will revert back to AA1.

That was it, I took them out of AA # 2 and everything is now working. Thank you so much for your help, I spend few hours going through Release 7 Manual which is over 1000 pages but fairly useless you already know how to program the system which kind of defeats the purpose.

I have attempted to connect the Phone system to our VoIP Gateway using Grandstream Box, and it is working very good. The sound quality is much better then we had using POTS lines and will save us $$s for Inter-office calls which before were going through local telco, and outside calls which were comming through PRI and going out to POTS.

Thank you again for your help.
