new Plan Export all 5.5ep users import user to 6.5

looking out on Novell TID10023328 i see that your can export users. what i was thinking was to export all the users -there mail.(this is the way my boss want it done) them import the users back into GW6.5

the question is I try and do what the TID says but i do not see the export option in the tool menu I try this in C1 and nwadmin. the TID talks about being in the GroupWise view. I do not have any thing lable as a GroupWise veiw. and do not recall this from the classes I have taken. Any help would be great.

Are you going such a difficult path because you are migrating to a new server also?

The TID you posted is intended to sync an address book with an external system. Does nothing about mail.

Me, I would not bother with an export since your going to 6.5. The Upgrade is pretty seamless, almost like installing a service pack. There is a database conversion the first time you load the agents, other than that, it goes in pretty easy.

If your going to a new server you can either migrate using the Migration WIzard, or you can copy the domain and po directories over. There will be mail system edits you need to do if you do the file copy (and it can be a bit of a pain if you use document managment).
