Magix 4.0 with Intuity. 3 Cabinets with MLX phones. 8 Copper lines and 1 PRI. The issue is for no reason sporadically throughout the day you go to pick up and dial out and get a busy.....Doesn't matter if long distance or if local etc. The CAS is showing that the PRI is not being overused, so it isn't a facility issue? Can this be TTR? or Any ideas?

Thanks,
VMAIL

Do a print of the ARS. That will show where the system looks for a line when you dial "9". Are the lines off the PRI in pool 890 or 70?
Are the 8 copper lines primarily for incoming or outgoing or both?

If you have different restriction levels on different pools, and if phones have different restriction levels, you may have a case where some phones are trying to use the copper pool when it has no available lines. If you see nothing in the ARS, try looking at an SMDR output at the time ofthe trouble, or if you have a display phone, look to see what line is used to dial out on at the time of trouble.

I would check the ARS table. I bet the routing isn't set-up proper. I would also label each line so you can tell which line is being seized when the issue occurs. Menu, sys prog, start, more, labeling, line. label your pots Pot 1, pot 2, etc. then the PRI label PRI 1 through PRI 23. Then you can easily tell which lines are giving you trouble or if it isn't even able to grab a line.

Also check the ERROR LOG. When a pool overflows it generates an error entry in the Alarm Log.

Hope this helps!
