New on mitel 2000

I am cert on the 3300, never worked on 2000, boss just picked up a property with one, is there some place i can get some info on how to navigate the forms etc..

To get you started:

First, realise that all that the 3300 is began with the 2K. As such, almost all forms match a 3300 (Pre-release MCD 4.0).

Connect via terminal emulation program at 9600n81(or telnet)

CTRL-W will initiate the interface

Desk will take you to the primary login screen

ESC + ? (menu choices at bottom of screen)

ESC + 1 = Login at initial screen

When you want to back out of a form without making changes
ESC-Q

There are many many more but that you get you started.

There is a place on the back of the Peripheral Node where you can connect your Terminal (DEC VT100 emulation)

I hope you have the login password, as it was common for these to be changed from default settings by the shops maintaining them. Default is [system] and [sx2000] or [Installer] and [sx2000] all lower case. (also try "system" and "password")

Any idea what load is on it? (it will tell you immediately after successful login or else enter "where" and it will give you the running load info)

If you are certified on the 3300, you probably have access to the Mitel website, under the Edocs section, you can get a tech hand book for the 2k for both lightware 33 and 34 in PDF.

If not I can get you a link to it.
