I am looking to install a new office and trying to decide what way to go a Partner system or IP Office. This office has 6 people and want VM and ability to answer each others phones. I don't see the office growing that much in hte near future. I come from the definity world so I like the IP office as it can be configured to talk to the Definity. I also manage a partner that has been rock solid for 3 years. I am looking for reasons to go for the IP Office.
Thanks

Im installing different systems like avaya, siemens, tadicom
If you have a new office with only 6 users go for the ip-office.
You got a lot of cool stuff for the right price.
The only thing is that it must be good configured.
If you use the strong features of the IP-Office and think outside the box you have a nice system.

The additional features that you would gain with the IP Office can be very tempting, but don't right off the Partners simplicity and reliability. If the enhancements that an IP Office bring to the table are unused, then the added complexity may not pay off. The Partner line fits into the mold of "set it and forget it" where the IPO will require more routine maintenance.

With that being said, our Partner sales have dropped 70% since the intro of IPO, and no one will argue the fact that IPO is significantly more future proof than a Partner. It comes down to the site and what they need today and tomorrow.

Ive been Installing both for years, the partner is still rock solid but Im really liking the IP Office now that Avaya finally worked out most of the issues. It has a great programming interface and is really great if you decide to have remote users with softphones or IP phones. Release 3 is going to have key system functions and the new 54xx series phones look much better than the same old partner phones.
