Good afternoon folks,

I'm relatively new to Panasonic. im working on NS700 systems on SW: 007.00138 - Using KX-NT680 handsets on SIP lines and Basic built in voicemail.

There's a few things i'm unsure on how to program/change. does anyone have a good reference guide for programming auto attendant?

I also cant seem to change the time from the handsets.

when i dial a number it maybe takes 7-10 seconds before the call starts to ring. is there a setting to reduce this?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

That is the time for disa answering the timer you want is the inter digit timer in timer. Change the second digit timer on co, I wouldn’t change to lower that 5 seconds ( default is 10) or you will have problems with people who enter the digis slow

Pressing # after finishing dialling numbers will tell the system you are finished and send numbers to sip trunk

I would setup number plan in trunk groups for local or any set length of digits. Like if a moblle number is 08 plus 8 more digits I would enter 08XXXXXXXX and the system will know to send once the 8 digit is entered

You will have too enter enough of the lead digits to be sure there os not an 089 with 10 digits after or you won’t be able to csll them

PBX Configuration
- 2. System
- 3. Timers & Counters - Dial/IRNA/Recall/Tone
- Under dial set the timer for Analogue CO Inter-digit to 5?

Would this work for SIP? I think the easier option would be for the customer to dial (with the handset down) 9<telephone number> then lift the handset and press #.

there's no way that they will be happy with that.

It is the extension interdigit timer that is 10 seconds by default. I wouldn’t reduce to less than 4.

They can pick up the phone and Dial 9 phone number #. If they don’t use # it will dial after the timer expires

You could setup dial plan under trunk group to set numbers to certain lengths so it will send straight away once it reaches that
