New Nortel MTX Card for Large Systems

Hi guys, one of our salesman has sold a solution to a customer here in the UK, that uses the new Nortel MTX Card. This is supposed to go in 81 and 61 that changes a IPE Shelf into two MGC Cabinets, anyone used them, heard about them or know anything about them, because I can not find anything at all on the Nortel Website?

Media Gateway Extended Peripheral Equipment Controller (MG XPEC) is still in trials.

Thank you for that....great so the customer is expecting me to install this kit next week and it is still on trail....once again I have been sold down the river by a salesman!

MG XPEC is available as of 10 December according to SM-2009-0168-Global.

Quoting from that bulletin:

• MG XPEC is a new double width card that leverages latest CS 1000 hardware components
• MG XPEC replaces the XPEC card in the IPE shelf of Meridian 1 Option 51C/61C/81C or CS 1000M MG/SG systems
• Converts the IPE shelf into 2 MG 1000E media gateways that can be connected to any CS 1000E system
