Just bought a Kensington PilotMouse Optical Pro Wireless and have run into an issue that I wondered if any of you might have a solution for.
When playing FPS games, the view sometimes spins like mad as if I were running the mouse as fas as I could across the wall or something. After I run the mouse around onthe pad for a few seconds it stops and I'm usually looking at the ground but this is just not helpful when another player is pointing a rocket launcher at your head.
So, does anybody know what might be causing this? Do optical mice need special pads to sit on with better texture? Mine is a little smooth. Should I place the reciever higher or farther away? Is it line of site transmission?
I have the latest drivers for the mouse and the USB ports and no issues have been reported about the mouse in the games that I can find. Specifically I am trying to play Unreal Tournament 2004.
Thanks!
