New motherboard won't boot

Hi,i have replaced a motherboard cpu and memory.the hardrive was taken out and put in a external enclosure to get some data from it.now when i put it back in with the new parts it comes up and say's windows did not start properly because a change in hardware or software.will not start in safe mode either.this computer was bought used and i don't have the OS disc. I have win xp disc from another computer,will the recovery console work.i also don't know the administrator password...

AM i OUT Of LUCK???

You really should make sure you have all the data from your hard drive and perform a clean install of your OS. Unless its the same series of mobo you are going to have problems.
 
You may need to perform a repair install of XP, do you know the Product Key details?
