Due to a prev problem with a friends Packard Bell iMedia it looks like I am going to have to get a new motherboard for it. It is about 3 years old. Here is the motherboard,
Are the PBell's mobo's proprietary or will something else work with the existing setup, pentium iv and ddr ram?
Where is the best place to get one in UK/France?
Will xp have to be reloaded, is there any other work required, thanks?

The board looks like a mini or midi ATX style. You should be able to get a replacment board, just check on the size first. The link you gave does give a physical size for the board, so check that out with a new one.
I normally purchase through This is UK or US based site, depending on your location. Have a look there.

also, you can try this site to find some OEM boards. I checked to make sure they carry Packard Bell boards.

I entered:

catigory:
SB-System Board

Manufacturer:
PAC- Packard Bell

Keyword:
ATX

and it came up with a list of about 10 to look at.

Hope this helps

Good Luck!

Deja-Vu! I thought PB went under years ago or got bought by NEC or something didn't they? Is this a UK based company that was not affiliated with the Packard Bell that was here in the US? I'm confused, (story of my life) anyone know?
