New mail notification

I was tired of the wav I was using to notify me of new mail so through the tools/options/notifications menu I chose another wav file. I have the main (dominant) inbox and two other inboxes. The old wav file still plays for receiving mail in two of the inboxes and the new wav plays for the third inbox. In the eudora.ini file, the newmailsound is set to the new wav file. So how is it that the old wav still plays for two of the mailboxes? Is there some setting elsewhere (e.g., registry) where this information is located?
