New mail does not arrive in user mailbox until restart

We have one user that will get her email just fine when she first starts GroupWise. She will also receive new messages and notifications for several minutes after the start. But over time she no longer gets notified or receives messages in her mailbox. If she closes Groupwise and restarts she has all the messages that have been sent.
I ran a rebuild but I didn't want to recreate the database unless I had too.

We're running Novell 5.1 sp4 and GroupWise 6 sp2. Windows 2000 workstations.

I'm looking for the same answer. It's done it to me a few times. I get notified but new mail doesn't show up inbox. So I close GroupWise and then it shows up. I have GroupWise 6.5 on XP station.
 
I typically see this when there are 1000's of messages in the inbox. Also check to see if online caching is turned on. Last, but not least, does the problem follow the user if they log into a different PC?
