New line after tag with FOR XML Explicit

I have created a query using For XML Explicit that is creating a new line break at column number 2034. In some cases, this is in the middle of an XML tag. I understand that this is a problem with odbc, but I need a workaround. Is it possible to created a new line break after a given tag every time? Is there a better way?
