I have just upgraded legato networker from 5.5.3 to 6.1.1 - server and client.

One thing I have just noticed is the old clients use to display the number of saveset.

E.g.
05/23/02 14:41:54 nsrd: host1:<59>E:\ done saving to pool 'notes' (001724) 419 MB

the <59> assume a 2Gb fileset would mean 118Gb of backed up data.

Now with the newer client I get

05/24/02 09:47:49 nsrd: host1:E:\ saving to pool 'notes' (001976) 94 GB

Is there any way to enable the old style messages ?

BTW All other parts of the upgrade went very well. I upgraded 30Gb of indexes and it took about 4 hours start to finish.

Regards

RThis was something in version 5, it is not there in version 6 as far as I am aware.
If the old clients are still using version 5 software, this will be the reason (as the client passes the data in 2 Gb chunks).
To get the new client to do the same, you would need to use version 5 client software on it.
I haven't tried regressing a client from 6 to 5 so can't help you there.
