Hey all!

I have a new/recent Fujitsu laptop, 3.2 ht,
P4, dvd, etc.

It has a brand new mother board! ( just fixed for a NON related issue)

Got back, and forgot about this problem -
cause the others worse. BUT THIS IS SUPER
ANNOYING. ( had this problem before too, before new board )

It suddenly decides to reboot. I especially notice when I'm on line. Naturally it tends to corrupt any downloads, files open etc.

1 Ran adaware - only one file suspect - quaratined.

2. Turned POWER TO ALWAYS on - all selections.

3 Running Zone alarm firewall.

4 AVG free virus.

any ideas? I KNOW it wont do it if I take
it in for repair, so on my own here.

thanks

Beth

Nothing can be said unless you can report the results from your Event Log. You might also turn off automatic restart.

. To view the Event Logs: Start, Run, eventvwr.msc

. To change automatic restart: right-click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Startup and Recovery - Settings, Checkmark Automaticly Restart, and checkmark to make an entry in the Event log.

Finally, run a memory test of several hours if not overnight:

Make sure all cooling vents are clean, and no ribbons have been left in a position to block airflow.

micker377,

I agree heat is a possible here. If I remember right this laptop just returned from the shop having consistently been throwing 0x50 and 1x50 errors. It has a new motherboard, but likely the original RAM and all other components.

As well as having RAID problems.

hey thanks a lot,

Yeah, I probably need to check that memory.

I think the heat vents were possibly being
blocked. Not rebooting as much, but stil
l crashing with blue screen.
