I'm glad to share with you a new project on VFPx called nfJSON,
a full set of fast, easy to use and reliable set of functions for
JSON parsing and creation ( requires vfp9 by now ).

First questions:
What does nf stand for?
Not for Jason?
Normal form JSON?
Nice fox JSON?

I found cfJSon, where cf stands for cold fusion.

Bye, Olaf.

Hi Olaf, that's the prefix for No-Fox, a project I'm currently working on.

I assume a project related to application and data migration.

I'm thinking of a general cross database replication for that matter to allow old & new worlds to work together without the efforts and concerted timeline you need in a big bang transition from legacy to new world. Something like Vision Solutions Double Take Share, just targeting smaller databases, too, including DBC, MySQL, Access and SQL Server. We'll see, if I ever finish this. Starting with XefoX (working title) replication for DBCs.

Bye, Olaf.

Did'nt know about TakeShare, seems a eventual consistency pattern applied to disparate DBs..
that would be a great service for vfp.

Indeed, their value in contrast to normal replication is allowing to model the exact replication scope by tables and even down to columns and rows, also making transformations, etc. I just found them in a research phase and think I can get a market share in the small business segment simply by supporting smaller databases. Actually I already implemented a change data capture similar process in MSSQL for a customer without an Enterprise license you normally need for that feature.

Bye, Olaf.
