hey just found out i've been offered a new job. Just waiting for the contract to come in the post for my consideration.

Has anyone had any dealings with a company called ISOFT, got any inside information.

Gary,
You could cross-post this in the ttuk forum.
(Can't offer a personal opinion on your putative employer, though).
Is it worth putting in for your old job? [wink]

If it's the iSOFT I'm thinking of, they have an office just down the road from Cognos in Manchester. Great for parking your car when going on holiday (right next to the airport :)

I don't know what they are like to work for, though (but hey, if it's too bad [and you're getting desperate], you could always walk into the Cognos office and ask for a job ;-)

Best,

MF.

Hi drlex

I meant to post this in the TTUK forum anyway lol.

My work at my current employer is done, They have a fully functioning IWR and PPES system with around 200 IWR reports and 10 PP cubes. the user base has been trained and
the system has been documented.

anyone looking for a cushy job in the mamchester area let me know.

That's the company headquarters down near the airport, had the interview their last week. Although I 'll be based in Warrington.

Sounds like a really interseting position, createing a data warehouse from scratch prior to a global roll out of Cognos 8.

something new for me to get my teeth in.

Gary,
Thought you might have wanted this in ttuk.
Good work on the offer - sounds like a real challenge. In the process of d/l v8 for a test - I guess if you've ReportNet experience you'll feel comfortable (just like I am "dahn Sarf", a good 200mi. from Manc.)

Gary, just seen this. I do know about iSOFT - company supports someone our software. Shares crashed recently by burning fingers in NHS IT programme. Suspect you've taken the job now. Good luck to you. If you have any specific questions try again.
