new java install causing problems. - Java 1.3.1 and AIX 5.1

hi,

I have a aix machine (7028 6C4) that runs AIX 5.1. It has a pre-installed java 1.3.1.

I did install 2GB of memory and now the machine has 4GB of memory available.

however, when the developers run their applications, they receive a strange message like:

"bad socket" or "corrupted packets"


has anybody seen this. ?

I am having a similar problem. Please let me know if you ever resolved this issue.
