We are in the process of moving our current LD T1s to ISDN PRI to gain Caller ID. Since this isn't a real critical move I've decided to take on the task of doing this myself :)

Currently the two T1s run off of 464H boards. We also have 2 464G boards which our ISDN PRI DID lines run on. Will the 464H work, or do I need to buy new 464G boards?

I also wanted to get at least one board, CSU and cable to setup the new LD trunk before actually cutting over. Depending on the above, what type of cable do I need? I've seen reference to T1 cables here and I did some Google searches and quickly got lost in all different types of wire configurations. The wires coming off the current ISDN PRIs say 22 AWG CM (UL) CMH c(UL). Can someone point me to where I can get these wires?

Answers to your questions

TN464HP vs TN464GP: Either one will run the PRI. The HP is actually a newer card (but either will work fine). You can view the details on both cards here
You can use a plain Cat5 cable and probably not have a problem, however Avaya recommends a T1 cable (2 pair individually shielded) which you can buy on metroline or any business partner. Expect to pay $25-$50 per cable depending on length. If you do have excess cable make sure to zip tie the loop flat, do not leave round loop. I have heard from many techs that this can cause problems, I have never experienced them myself but I always do this to be safe.
FYI the RJ45 pins used are pins 1, 2, 4 and 5

Thank you for all the info CBB! Much appreciated.
