Hi folks! This looks like a great source of info! I'm currently testing and configuring IP Offcie 406 with two analog trunk cards and embedded voicmail. We're using 5410 Digital Sets (not VOIP)

Not having a lot of telephony experience, i'm running into more questions than answers . . .

1) We have a receptionist to answer incoming calls during the week; how do I config system to rollover to the auto-attendant when she is away and/or turns on DND?

2) We have VOIP via Cisco routers terminating as two regular analog lines. How do I configure to specifically dial out on these two lines?

3) Finally, are there any config files out there to look at and learn from?

Regards - John

1) Create a time profile. Use it with your Incoming Call Routes to define when they shoul switch to a Night Service Destination. Enter AA:Name as the destiantion (Name being the auto attendant service name).

2) Don't know.

3) Don't know.

2- if your cisco ip trunk is on trunk card let say port 3 & 4, then edit your settings under 'lines' and create a seperate outgoing group id let say '99'

create short code like this:

SC = 8
Telephnone number = N
Line Group ID = 99
Feature = Dial

3- don't think any tech or company would publicly put a config file online, you might find something that's been modified with phony company name and stuff if you look hard enough on the internet.....but if you have the installation and programming manual everything is pretty much straight forward and folks on this forum are excellent in terms of help and time to get a response....

good luck and have fun...

There are some test configs on the Engineers tool kit from Avaya.
As above not usually some thing openly available from a working site.

for reception Atuto attendant enable VM on the reception group then create you call flow as a group start point for reception leave (check the toolkit CD for a series of worked examples it is supprisingly good)

... this VM is embedded sire, embedded most deeply. So for starters, going to a start point is a non-starter, sorry to startle you :)-0

oops I must read these posts more carfully :-(
my most humble appologies, although My answer may aid someone els
